The Lithographs

Lithography is a process by which a textured design is reproduced on a smooth surface.  In artistic terms, it is creating a reproduction of an original work of art on a thick art print stock.

Bill had four of his more popular painting reproduced as limited edition art prints (each limited to 450 copies).  The four prints are displayed in this section.

The limited edition prints were each numbered and signed by Bill in the white margin at the bottom of the print.  Each print that was sold received a unique number  (e.g.  110/450).

As part of the reproduction process, the printer provided Bill with a handful of “Artist Proof's” which were used to check color reproduction against the original painting.  There were never more than 20 Artist Proofs of each print.  To our knowledge, the Proofs were not sold, but were given by Bill as gifts.

If you have one of the numbered prints, or the proofs, drop us a line and let us know which one you have.
